Dr. Van de Vyver is a Michigander, through and through. He graduated high school from East Lansing and went to both Michigan State and University of Michigan for undergraduate studies, so he can root for both teams! (Although he’s a real Wolverine at heart) He completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Michigan in 2006 and purchased his first practice in Royal Oak. After getting married and having his first child (they’re up to FIVE now!), Dr. Shawn and his wife moved to Romeo.
Dr. Van de Vyver loves technology and providing the most advanced dental treatment on the face of the planet. Dr. Shawn and Dr. Erica utilize the best technology to deliver beautiful smiles like cone beam CT scans (3D x-rays), 3D printers to make crowns and bite guards, oral scanners to provide 3D models of your teeth, and lasers to eliminate gum disease.
Dr. Shawn wants to provide the “Latest & Greatest” in all areas of dental care. “We are in the middle of a technological revolution in dental care, and I want to provide patients with access to the newest and best dental care available.” His main areas of care are Invisalign to straighten teeth with clear trays, dental implants to give patients the best teeth replacements available, and smile design to give patients beautiful new smiles.
